My name is Amanda Nicole Serrato. I've been writing poetry for the last 12 years. It was not until last year I decided to start sharing my work with the world.
Poetry began for me at six year old when my mother passed away. I wrote my first poem the year of her death. A large amount of my work is geared toward her absence in my life. Other works are my translation of life and it's experiences. Most of the poems on this site are not about me but are based on TRUE STORIES. I love listening to someone's life story and then writing about their trials, their moments of bliss and what motives them.
It's hard to categorize my work because some poems go off into different ventures and can be filled with metaphors.
